Unless otherwise communicated or authorized in writing by Easycarhire, the security deposit to guarantee the deductible must be blocked by credit card necessarily registered in the name of this voucher. Credit cards accepted by Easycarhire as guarantee/deposit are exclusively MasterCard and Visa, Amex and Diners are not accepted. Always check that your credit card has sufficient credit at the time of rental. The amount of the security deposit corresponds to the maximum deductible on the contract which varies according to the group booked and can be found directly on the first page of the voucher. The credit card must have an expiry date of no less than 3 months following the closing date of the rental. In the event that an invalid credit card is presented or the same does not have sufficient credit to make the security deposit, Easycarhire may refuse to deliver the vehicle. Debit card will be accepted in some case discretionary to our staff, only if purchasing locally the additional cover product SCDW and with an additional fee of € 61 for using a debit card.
Drivers must have held a valid driving license for at least 2 years; it is advisable to make sure that the expiry date is after the rental end date. The license must always be presented in the original and must not show abrasions or deteriorations that compromise its legibility: provisional licenses, photocopies or substitute declarations will not be accepted under any circumstances (for more information call the Easycarhire offices); an expired license can be accepted as long as it is accompanied by a valid identity document and the original of the medical certificate whose validity and suitability to drive will be checked. The Medical Certificate certifies the psychophysical aptitude of the holder and also performs the function of provisional qualification, is valid for 6 months from the date of issue; In the event of a duplicate due to loss, theft or destruction, the Provisional Driving Permit valid for 90 days and more from the date of issue can be accepted, accompanied by a valid identity document. For foreign licenses, it should be remembered that all licenses issued by a member state are valid within the European Community; for driving licenses issued in non-European countries, on the other hand, the customer must show the international driving permit together with their licence. The international driving license is valid for only 1 year from the date of issue, therefore it must be in the regular course of validity. Driving licenses bearing non-Latin characters (for example Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic) must be translated into Latin characters by the Embassy or Consulate. The driving licenses of non-EU citizens who have been resident in Italy for more than a year, even if accompanied by an unexpired international licence, are no longer valid. In any case, it will be necessary to show, in addition to the driving licence, a valid identity document. In the event that one of the above requirements is missing, Easycarhire could refuse to deliver the vehicle or, depending on the circumstances, request the supplement for insufficient license requirements. In these cases, there will be no refund of the amount already paid.
Remember to print all pages and bring the following rental voucher with you. In the event that the voucher is not delivered complete with all pages, Easycarhire may refuse to deliver the vehicle. Furthermore, the customer can only have one active rental contract; this means that the same customer cannot appear on two different active rental contracts at the same time. Any additional booking voucher (starting from the second) with the same customer name for the same rental period will be considered a duplicate of the original booking and delivery of the vehicle will not be guaranteed
The age required by Easycarhire to rent cars is regulated as follows:
Minimum Age: 21 years, in possession of a valid driving license, issued for at least 2 years
Maximum age: 75 years until the end of the rental, in possession of a valid driving licence, issued for at least 2 years. In case when picking up the car

The damage limitation (CDW) applies to all authorized drivers and partially covers any damage to the vehicle. The CDW is subject to the terms of the rental agreement signed upon collection of the vehicle.
Unlimited mileage means you can travel as far as you want without additional costs.
The value of the deductible is strictly linked to the car group booked, in the event of a rental of more than 15 days, Easycarhire could collect the value corresponding to the maximum deductible by credit card. For precise information on the amount, check directly on the first page of the voucher.
Basic excess (deductible) changes upon the vehicle group as the following: group A and B € 1500; group C € 2000; group D and V € 2500.
Basic deposit changes upon the vehicle group as the folowing: group A and B € 750; group C € 1000; group D and V € 1250.
The cost will be charged to the customer. The car must be returned with the same amount of fuel present at the time of collection; upon return of the car in case of missing fuel, the relative fuel cost will be charged. Charges for missing fuel must be paid at the car rental office or deducted from the security deposit; In case of lack of fuel, a penalty will be applied (Refueling Service), however the cost of fuel will be calculated according to the rates displayed in the Easycarhire offices.
Any optional reductions in compensation liability in the event of damage and/or theft, if not purchased directly during the booking stage, can also be purchased directly at the rental desk at a higher price than the cost proposed during the booking stage. The relative costs vary according to the product that the customer will choose.
Extra service that allows the use of the rented vehicle to another authorized and registered driver at the time of vehicle collection. If requested and if not already paid at the time of booking, the extra amount for this service must be paid at the rental desk at a cost of €7 per day. The possible addition of another driver to the main one indicated in this voucher is to be understood exclusively for the purposes of the guide.
An extra supplement is applied due to age limits imposed by Easycarhire (Young Driver and Senior Driver). This supplement costs €10 per day including VAT. For vehicles belonging to groups A and B, the "Young Driver" surcharge is applied to drivers between the ages of 21 and 24. For vehicles belonging to group C, the "Young Driver" surcharge is applied to drivers between the ages of 22 and 26. For vehicles belonging to groups D, the "Young Driver" surcharge is applied to drivers between the ages of 22 and 29. For vehicles belonging to groups V, the "Young Driver" surcharge is applied to drivers between the ages of 25 and 29.It is not possible to rent a vehicle of a certain category if you are neither within the minimum/maximum age, nor in the age of application of the "Young Driver" surcharge, nor if the date on which the license was issued is less than 2 years old. The "Senior driver" surcharge will be applied to all customers between the ages of 76 and 80. All drivers must have held their license for at least 2 years. The age obligations are intended until the end of the rental. The local rental station reserves the right to refuse the rental to the customer under the minimum age or above the maximum age. For collections and returns of cars outside the opening hours of our offices, there is an "out of hours" supplement at a cost of € 50 + VAT. Easycarhire office hours are from 08:00 to 21:30; The "out of hours" service is applicable in all cases for contracts closed before 08:00 and open after 21:30. In the event that, without any notice, the customer does not collect the car within two hours following the scheduled date and time of collection of this voucher (NO SHOW), Easycarhire has the right to cancel the booking and withhold the sums already collected when booking the vehicle. In the event that the flight number is not provided during the booking phase and in the absence of prior notice from the customer, the collection point could close without waiting for the customer and without notifying him.
It is not possible to go out with the vehicle outside the Italian borders
Prepaid online reservations do not constitute a contract for the provision of the car rental service. The contract will be stipulated at the time of rental. Prepaid vouchers bearing a specific amount will be accepted as proof of payment of the cost of the reservation. The voucher must be accompanied by a credit card in the name of the main driver and with embossed numbers as a guarantee and to cover any charges not included in the value of the prepaid voucher, such as for example: fuel, accessories not included in the rate (child seat for children, navigators, chains, etc.), economic liability for damage or theft of the rented vehicle, age below the minimum permitted, etc. The voucher is valid only for the date shown and for the specified amount. The payment of the prepaid amount can be made with any type of card and can also be made in the name of a person other than the main driver, but this does not exempt the main driver from providing a Visa or MasterCard credit card EXCLUSIVELY in the name of the driver when picking up the car. to the name of this voucher.
If a prepaid booking needs to be changed the original voucher will be cancelled, a new voucher will then be issued showing the amount of the changed booking. For any differences between the amount paid and the amount due, the customer's credit card will be used and the amount for the difference will be charged. Administrative fees will not be charged for modified bookings, unless the correction significantly changes the original booking (example: vehicle pick-up or drop-off location, rental date, rental duration, customer name, booked car group), in these cases will be subject to the cancellation fee detailed below. All booking change requests are subject to the current availability of the requested vehicle and acceptance by Easycarhire. Prices may differ between what is indicated in the original reservation and what is indicated in the modified reservation. In this case the last price entered will be applied.
Changes can only be made within 24 hours before the collection date and time, after this deadline requests for changes will not be accepted.
If the customer has prepaid 100% of the rental cost, he can cancel a reservation and receive a refund of the amount paid under the conditions indicated in the following points. If the customer has prepaid 100% of the rental cost and if the cancellation occurs at least 7 days before the scheduled collection date and time, the refund will be 100% excluding a cancellation fee of € 30. If the customer has prepaid 100% of the rental cost and if the cancellation occurs between the 7th and 3rd day before the scheduled collection date and time, the refund will be 100% excluding a €50 cancellation fee. there is a refund of the amount already paid if the cancellation occurs less than 72 hours before the pick-up. If the customer has NOT prepaid 100% of the rental cost, in case of cancellation there will be no refund of the amount already paid. The cancellation fee will be applied regardless of the amount already paid. Easycarhire will not be liable for losses due to unfavorable monetary exchange between the date of the online booking and the date of the subsequent cancellation or modification (when possible). In the event that the car cannot be collected due to insufficient documentation, lack of valid credit card or customer refusal, this situation will be treated as a "no show", meaning that you will not be entitled to a refund of the sum paid.
There is no refund for days of non-use (in case of early return); the customer will not be entitled to any refund in the event of failure to collect the vehicle on the booking date (no-show).
If you wish to extend a rental when it has already begun, in case of acceptance and availability by Easycarhire, the appropriate rates and rental procedures will be applied for the additional days.
The car must be collected and returned exclusively in our office to the address specified on the first page of the voucher, returns at the airport or in places other than the collection office can be made subject to written acceptance by Easycarhire and upon payment of a fee for this service (One way), in the case of unauthorized One Way, a penalty will be applied for the recovery of the car.
Hourly tolerance for vehicle collection and return:
The hourly waiting tolerance for vehicle collection (rental start) is 120 minutes starting from the collection time indicated on the rental voucher, beyond which the booking will be considered a no-show and cancelled, in this case there will be no right to a refund of the prepaid amount in favour of the customer.
The hourly waiting tolerance for the return of the vehicle (end of rental) is 60 minutes starting from the return time foreseen on the rental contract, beyond which tolerance, the customer will pay the additional day of rental quantified at the counter rate beyond to the penalty for unauthorized rental extension.
There is no obligation to return the washed vehicle but the same must be returned in a clean condition suitable for damage control, otherwise the vehicle will be checked after washing, the customer who does not comply with this rule accepts the next check on the check-in date; in the event that the vehicle is returned in unacceptable hygienic/clean conditions, a penalty will be applied.
The vehicle displayed on the Easycarhire website and in the voucher is purely indicative, Easycarhire guarantees the same group and category chosen, consequently we cannot guarantee that the make or model of the rented vehicle is the same as the vehicle displayed on our website.
The STP theft liability reduction and the RCDW or SCDW damage liability reduction booked and paid for at the time of booking were purchased at a reduced price compared to the real cost payable at the Easycarhire car rental counter, for this reason in case of purchase of these protections later upon booking, the price will be increased compared to the cost proposed at the time of booking.
